08 C4 Grand Picasso airbag suppension troubles !
Hi guys i looking for advice, I have had my car from new, its just rolled over to 80k just MOT and serviced it now has the airbags on rear are going up and down on there own free will, this also flatens my battery. They seems to be no leaks, compressor inflates deflates and valves seem to be ok, taken it to my locall garage, but dont have software to go into it in details, as it seems a software problem. iis this a known fault? are there any Citroen specialist garages near me that come recommed ? Many Thanks

You'll probably find it is the height corrector at the rear that has corroded or gone faulty and needs replacing. The rear height corrector is a body height sensor that tells the suspension ECU what the rear height is so it can command the compressor to increase or decrease the height. When the data is invalid or intermittent it can cause the 'hunting' as it constantly tries to maintain the correct height.
The best thing is to get Citroen to confirm this and replace it for you. If the replacement corrector is not fitted correctly it can cause the height to be incorrect - so that's why I recommend a dealer to diagnose and replace if necessary.
You cans see the height sensor shown here at (3).
Don't get under the vehicle unless independently supported - risk of sudden dropping and crushing!

You could take a look at the following link, as most of them are garages that members have used and recommended . Make sure to read them clearly, as some of them are WARNINGS! not to use a particular garage/service!

There's a dealer here (rated 4.7 out of 5) on Google Reviews.KTM-KID wrote: 12 Feb 2022, 18:23 Many thanks for that info, is there a recommended specialist in my area Warrington?

Re: 08 C4 Grand Picasso airbag suppension troubles !
I have a Grand C4 Picasso and have had the coil spring suspension conversion done last week.
The error message is suspension failure and the automatic handbrake release doesn't work
The rear ride height is 29 inches, would it cause the error repeatedly coming on after resetting it?
Unfortunately the garage set up the suspension height, not sure if they realised it was 2 inches too high...
Any help, please?

Re: 08 C4 Grand Picasso airbag suppension troubles !
Welcome along.
With springs there's no setting of the height, it's governed by the springs, so that suggests the wrong ones have been fitted. You will need to get the pneumatic suspension coded out of the car to remove the error on the screen - this may also be the cause of the handbrake not working - or they may have cocked something else up!

It's been given a dose of lexia diagnosis on a laptop, the fault returns as soon as you drive.
I was hoping to get the car back with no issues.... how wrong was I

You will need to tell it that it no longer has air suspension - this might or might not be possible with Diagbox - have a look in the BSI and see if there is an option to turn it off.

It looks like the car won't accept it has spring suspension now.
We have tried 2 different diagnostic devices and neither are successful.
Any ideas guys???

Were either of the diagnostic machines a Diagbox?

No, I don't think so.
Lexia and Auto, something...
Is Diagbox readily available?

Re: 08 C4 Grand Picasso airbag suppension troubles !
So... my 2011 Grand Picasso has new spring suspension, no pesky air bags!
BUT ..... now I have a automatic handbrake issue.
It sometimes works and others it takes 4 or 5 attempts before it releases.
Does ANYONE have any idea what is causing this?
Thank you for any advice.
