2008 citroen c4 grand picasso electrical circuit fault
Hi I have the Citroen c4 picasso 2008, it came up electrical fault, the starter won't try to start and the inside dash fan won't work, it was driving ok until today, I tried the circuit board on top of battery and checked the fuses, any help please, thanks Anthony from Ireland

I am chasing similar ghosties with our 20007 C4. I rather think water has crept in and grotted up a connection somewhere. However, it is possible you "may" have a bad battery or earth.Anthony Lonican wrote: 09 Feb 2022, 22:00 Hi I have the Citroen c4 picasso 2008, it came up electrical fault, the starter won't try to start and the inside dash fan won't work, it was driving ok until today, I tried the circuit board on top of battery and checked the fuses, any help please, thanks Anthony from Ireland![]()
You really should try to get a diagnosis because the mechanical dice game is always expensive!
Saying that, we did have a similar issue a few years back and it turned out to be the BSM (fuse board in the engine bay) had filled with leaves and grotted up the fuse connections.
Good luck.
Has anyone seen the plot?

Re: 2008 citroen c4 grand picasso electrical circuit fault
Hi, I'm reviving the thread as I have similar issues!
It started with the front fans working when it feels like it and I believe it's the relay in the fuse box that's given up, as the fan doesn't work at all anymore.
This morning (the first really cold one of the year) the engine was knocking like crazy (sounded like an old diesel), but letting it warm up and then restarting it solved it.
How ever, it died on me but I manged to get it restarted while still moving and then while out on the highway it suddenly sounded the alarm for low oil pressure (think it's a sensor fault as it comes and goes even if oil is fine) and then an alarm for a fault in the engine management system. After which it decided to shut off and I had to come to a stop by the side of the highway.
Engine never wanted to start again, I could hear the starter turning and even seeing some rpm on the dash. However the guy towing me said he thinks it's the starter solenoid that broke.
Stating all this, I'm fairly sure it's not only the starter as that doesn't shut off the engine, but might need a new one anyway? What's the correct amount of teeth on the starter? How many kW?
Is it possible that the belt slipped?
What should be my next course of action?
Car is a 2007 C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 EGS (petrol) and has run ca 22k km.
Thanks in advance!
