Hello,
I have the megane dynamique 1.5 diesel 2014.
Im trying to swap the radio for an aftermarket one...
I have the fascia to accept an aftermarket radio but cant seem to find a set of connector adapters for it...
Has anyone see any around that would fit the connectors in my car?
Thr auto audio shop sent me an adapter kit with the fascia but my connectors dont fit ...or it doesnt fit my connectors!
I have two white block connectors coming off my harness.

Re: radio
Hi Martin,
re: your query about installing a Sony MEX N7300BD in your 2015 Megane Dynamique, if you look at Sony's user instructions for that unit
https://www.sony.com/electronics/suppor ... 90251M.pdf
printed pp.34-38 lists full connection details.
There also seems to be a connection adaptor (p.34, item #6) included with the unit, which you could use for cable connection.
What you'll need to do is identify the power, speaker, etc etc connections of the car's wiring, and make correct connection to those. There are companies that sell aftermarket adaptor accessories (converter leads) for any-radio-to-any-car. Some of these are good, some aren't.
Someone here might be able to recommend a good one of these suppliers, if you aren't able to pair up the connections yourself.

Re: radio
I did that to get an adapter harness to fit my Xtrons sat nav/dvd unit to our Ducato, Pint Pot. I ended up with 3 harnesses - all supposed to fit and none did. I ended up taking a hacksaw to the "joined" ISO adaptor of one of them and separating the plugs out. I took the Dremel to the lugs that stopped them fitting. Then I repinned the power plug bit to actually match the pin out positions of the Ducato harness. I will dig the pictures out later and show the whole sorry mess.
A 5 minute job dragged on for 3 weeks!
For Ducato you could insert Boxer or Relay.

Re: radio
You might want to look at something like this harness to fit your white plugs and adapt to ISO plugs. The ebay number is in one photo. Silly question, do your white plugs attach straight to the car harness or do they go back to another connector?

Re: radio
done a quick search online and it looks like the sat nav part is contolled from a separate control panel and the data sd card is inserted in the screen part. just how this is linked to the radio head unit is unclear. you are going to need a clear wiring diagram for your Megane and your new radio to get all the functions linked.

Hello Dormouse...
I'll check to see if the wiring has another connector further up the harness...
Its the connector with about 32 pin...or pin holes thats bothering me....
The other connector with less pins seems to be quite common.
Thanks for the help and reply btw....along with the others who replied.

Re: radio
I'm wondering if there's a separate connector that you can buy to replace however the sat nav connects and links to the radio?
There doesn't seem to be much info circulating about how to do this.
I suppose there'll be an item for the job but it's sourcing it!

Re: radio
I found this pic for your 14 pin and 32 pin connectors. notice the lack of cables in the 32 pinner
The brown plug is speaker connections, the black plug is the power connector and I suppose the blues and whites are going to be unit interconnect/control wires but without a meaningful wiring diagram I couldn't guess.

I saw an item on ebay...

I think it may be the correct item but the price is shocking!

Re: radio
this is a company I've used for fifty years for the car radio stuff, maybe a question to them would help.

Re: radio
That steering wheel control adaptor kit on ebay may or may not work; you would have to find out.
I had one that failed to function completely, and had to be returned.
The Sony radios have quite specific requirements for steering wheel control - basically just a simple resistance value for each function, fed into the 3.5mm jack socket (3-pole plug; use tip and body, ignore centre band) on the rear of the unit. Details are here, written up for fitting one of the Sony's into a Citroen XM:
viewtopic.php?p=599088#p599088.
Have done a second one on our BX, this time with a joystick control added to the steering column shroud. Both work fine.
Connecting the Sony radio unit to the main speaker, power, etc cables is straightforward enough (as discussed above), after you've identified which cable is which, but tackling the steering wheel controls is more complex, as it is quite likely that the resistance values the car manufacturer fitted will not match Sony's requirements. (From the table in the post, you can see that Pioneer's requirements are different again...). Worth checking, though, as you might be lucky.
If you can manage without steering wheel controls, the installation job isn't difficult.
