Has anyone changed the large rubber bushes on
the rear suspension. Is it a diy job?,and are
any special tools needed. any tips please.

I don't know the Laguna
I have changed spring / bushes on several cars
Jack the back up high and support.
1. if the bush/rubber is inside the spring/mcphearson strut then it needs to be reomeved from the car and 'spring compressors' are needed to reduce the spring for removal.
2 in the rubber is above or below the strut you can do it easy bu removing the securing bolts at the relevent end
