Hi. I have just bought a 2005 1.9 dci Scenic. I took it for a long run today, in France where I live. When I get to 123 kmh a really loud beeper sounds continuously until I drop back down. The speed limit here is 130 kmh so this is very inconvenient. I played around with the speed limiter, set it to 140 kmh but still goes off at 123 kmh. The cruise works fine. It’s driving me mad.
The handbook is in German so I can’t refer to that.
Can anyone help?

I disconnected the battery and this set the warning bleeps to come in at 130kmh. The car was originally from the German market, I think, so this maybe a stock safety feature. Has anyone any experience of this?
