405 coupe

Unread post by 405chap101 »

Hi all, apologies if there's already a thread like this somewhere on here, but does anyone know the story behind this, the 405 coupe concept.

From very early times Peugeot always produced a Saloon, Estate,Coupe and cabriolet version of a particular model. Then from the 80`s things changed, but they still experimented.

Some were very outrageous.

This version of the 505 was very nice, why it was never produced was a shame.
There were already many sporty versions of the 405 available,SRi, Mi16, T16 so the coupe was never produced.
Back in the early 90`s I had a 405 Mi16x4, one of the most underrated cars of the time. 16v,4x4,LSD front and rear, active ride rear suspension. It was a bat-mobile,150 mph and would stick to the road like glue.

Thanks, I was just wondering if there was a reason it was never made.
