Hello again,
After my recent family car write off and my Citroen C5 needing a lot of work I needed a car fast.
I found a C5 Estate 2.0Hdi auto Exclusive locally going for a song, ran out and got it.
Runs extremely well, but was confounded by the lack of bluetooth considering it is only 6 months older than my other C5 Exclusive.
Also not included is all around parking sensors which my other had, only rear on this one.
I would love to be able to upgrade the satnav to something more modern and user friendly but doubt this is possible.
My options is a basic bluetooth upgrade and my question is how to do this?
As always thanks for your help.
Andy

Re: C5 Esate bluetooth upgrade
Hi. I've moved this to the RT4 Section of the Telematics Forum.
The RT4 is a good unit to be honest and will outlive the RNEG (MyWay) amd RT6 (eMyWay)!
Although it does not have bluetooth (bear in mind that the telematics units were developed years before the car's release), you can use a trick to get the calls coming through to your carphone. I used this on my RT3 in my MK II C5:
Get a compatible SIM card and slot that into the RT4. Then on your mobile phone, create 2 contacts, let's say 'Car Divert' and 'Car Undivert'.
When you leave the car, just hit the 'Car Undivert' option to route calls back to your mobile.
These codes are for Vodafone, but your mobile provider over there will have the same or similar. It's one way of being able to take calls on your mobile without bluetooth or fitting any unsightly third party devices.
You have voice commands on the RT4 too, so you can use this to dial contacts stored on the RT4.

Does it have an AUX connector? If so you can get an inexpensive bluetooth receiver which connects to that.
Otherwise a bluetooth FM transmitter.
Or, just not take calls when you are driving. An old fashioned idea but one I'm quite fond of.

Re: C5 Esate bluetooth upgrade
Right - Andy has another X7 with RT4 - I've deleted the previous posts as they are no longer relevant seeing as we were talking at crossed purposes about the RD4 in his original X7.
So the advice applies that I have already originally stated about using the divert tip to get your mobile calls on the RT4.
