Citroen CX Turbo 2 Prestige speedo failure

Hello All, the speedo on my CX S2 Prestige has failed, my local garage who are good with older cars tell me that the 'gearbox speed splitter' has failed, apparently a plastic part. that takes a drive from the gearbox with two feeds out (one for the speedo, not sure about the other - for the Diravi or the ECU?) Does anyone have a spare? Or know if it can be repaired? I have found a Series 1 item on CX Basis but don't know if its the same part for both S1 and S2 cars? Thanks

It would be for driving both the speedo and the DIRAVI steering. It is likely the same part for all CX with DIRAVI, and maybe even the same as LHD XM with DIRAVI.

They are different, if you want to go faster put the S1 splitter in, been there.
You can prise the case apart and have a look and see what the damage is.

You're lucky the other drive from the splitter didn't fail, leaving you with fully powered steering at speed!
I would also check that the drive cable hasn't crept out of the back of the speedo unit itself. This can happen
