2013 Renault Megane Central Door Locking Fault

Hello

I am trying to repair a friends 2013 1.6 petrol Renault Megane hatchback with a fault on the central locking system.

All doors lock with the key card or if you walk away from the car. When you press the unlock button all doors open except the drivers door. We thought it was the lock/solenoid and purchased a new one from renault but the fault is still there after connecting it up. We also tried the spare key card but this did not work.

Could it be the sensor on the door handle?

Any advice would be most helpful.
