I've got a 2011 B7 C4 and a Diagbox. I've been looking for something and came across these two options.
First one, what is an electrical key? It's set to 'mechanical' from factory.
Second, what is this option regarding ventilation? It's set on 'yes' by factory, but I don't understand what it does.
BE VERY CAREFUL and don’t change anything in the BSI unless you know what you are doing, or have the relevant options present on the vehicle! The BSIs are shared amongst the PSA group and will have options not relevant or applicable to your car. Changing even the simplest looking option can light your car dash up like a Christmas tree, as happened to a member recently.
To answer your questions, the mechanical key is for the physical metallic cut key, whereas the electronic option is for keyless ignition systems. DONT change this or you may lock yourself out of the car.
The second option is likely to be for the remote opening of the windows to the desired levels.
Some vehicles have a ventilation option that allows the car’s internal air blower to operate for a time with the engine switched off, to help keep passengers comfortable. It does not operate the A/C but just allows some air flow.
But it works minutes after shutting of the engine. It's good if you're parking for a few minutes, but even then, it just blows in the hot air from the outside.
Tesla with that constant running A/C would be nice
