Renault Megane key card problem

Hi Guys,
My key card has stopped working and I was wandering if you know anyone decent apart from the dealer that can provide a replacement key card? I'm in South Wales, close to Newport and I have a Megane 04 plate.

Hi an welcome to the forum.

There are several places than can repair these for £25 - this is one I've heard recommended:

Until you can get it fixed, have you tried putting the card in, put it into first gear, then back into neutral and trying it?

Thank for that, the issue I'm having atm is that I have sent my key card off for a repair and it's been almost 2 weeks now and I haven't heard anything back from the repair shop, what's worse they are not responding to my calls. In short I need a replacement card but the dealer prices, waiting time and the need of towing my car puts me off.

That's bad news - I believe they about £180 ish from the dealer, Dare we ask what the company is called? Although I'd understand if you want to withhold that until you get your key card back (hopefully).

Well I have already came to terms with the fact that I wont get my key card back, fortunately I kept the emergency key. The repair shop was http://www.keycardrepair.co.uk so seriously guys stay away from them.
I did try another local company https://keycardservices.co.uk/ and got 2 cards from them for £180 with warranty. Hopefully the cards will last
