Re: Introduction....Hello
Interesting collection - especially the 604GTI, makes even the 6.9MB seem common & uninteresting (bit like most of their other products really). You'll like it here, we rather like eclecticism.

Xantia is Jan 97 reg. with elec. fuel pump (as opposed to mech. pump pre 97 if memory me correct), 6.9 is Oct 1979. btw would also love an SM FRUA, V8 and SM Opera....and speaking of Opera....a Fiat 130 Opera for good measure (the 130 Coupe 4 door). Thankyou for the welcome!!
Re: Introduction....Hello
I'd have the 6.9 V8 Merc over any of the others

Re: Introduction....Hello
I remember I wanted its predecessor, the 350SEL 6.3: a muscle car in the classic mould, but with German build quality & MB appointments - BUT I was only 16 or 17. Some years later I was offered what we would now call a barn find: found in a lock-up with light frontal damage. For once my courage/youthful conceit failed me & I didn't even go to look at it. Cured me of the Benz for life!

Re: Introduction....Hello
What, you mean with finding one? Now be fair, much as Fiats had a propensity to revert to their natural state - it was Lancias that were actually biodegradable! But a 4-door coupe? Was that an Irish market special - or do I know even less about Fiats than I thought I did?

'cos I'm not @ work, I didn't get the e-mail prompt - &, PM's aren't the 1st thing I look for when accessing the forum; Wednesday, if you've been following my blog, I was probably fairly selective in what I looked at. Any way, didn't see this until too late last night, i.e. small hours of this morning, to care.
Now seen the piccie, thanks, pretty car - BUT, 4-door coupe???

Re: Introduction....Hello
That's the model that Roll-Royce said couldn't be made - allegedly; but Lincoln made a nonsense of that in '61(?) with the infamous "clap-door" Contintal, which was also pillarless AND, so far as I know, still, the only convertible with a fully automatic hood!
However, a 4-door convertible is NOT a 4-door coupe - nor was the 3 1/2 litre Rover, badge notwithstanding!
