New from Citroen for the Aerial base is £42.59 Inc. VAT (Excluding fitting).
Before you order one of these - it would be a good idea to get it on a Lexia / Diagbox (the specialist diagnostic hardware and software used by Peugeot / Citroen / DS Automobiles) - as the NG4 ECU can be interrogated to see if it can determine where the problem lies. I'll assume you don't have this kit, so have a look here at members with kit who are willing to help out - there may be one near you who will be able to help out. That may give some clue as to whether the unit has had a bad knock or whther the aeria has been damaged in the impact Ben.

The aerial path runs from the rear Driver's side through the back rear headlining and then down the passenger side to the front:

Ah I think we are getting somewhere. I've noticed a ripple in the head liner rear passenger a pillar. I suspect it's been pulled down at some point.

Will check out the members with lexia kits now.

Many thanks

Is that not the same as mine? Or at least the aerial part is.

In my case I had already had the roof aerial and amplifier replaced before the satnav displayed the no satellites visible message and it took a replacement radio head unit to fix this.

On my car the radio aerials are printed onto the rear side windows. The roof aerial is for the satnav and possibly phone but, as I haven't put a SIM card in, I don't know.

When you say pulled down Ben - if it has had a side impact it is very likely that the Side Curtain Airbag has deployed! It is therefore possible that the wiring loom may have been pulled out of the aerial unit or elsewhere - so a bit of careful detective work is needed - and be VERY careful whilst working near airbags.

As was my car!

In your case I doubt it would have damaged the aerial unit/amplifier although doesn't mean that it hasn't gone wrong for another reason. If there is damage it's more likely to be the antenna lead itself damaged depending on where the impact was.

Hi Paul - no yours was possibly the RT6 if memory serves. This is the Navidrive 3D and Ben's car has had an impact on the side as we are beginning to piece this together - so it's quite possible there has been some aerial loom damage - let's see. At least the cables are available in sections.

The aerial base part number for Ben's is 6561RC - there are several versions (of course there would be wouldn't there  ). but the NG4 is uber reliable Paul - heard very few issues with these at all in comparison with the RT6 and the EEPROM chip errors these suffer from.

When you look at the diagram the loom goes right through where the airbag explodes - so it wouldn't be past the realms of possibility. Some careful back tracing needs to be done - but the headlining is very fragile. When you got the car - was the side airbag replaced I wonder. In either case, the aerial and the wiring has to be the cheapest place to start troubleshooting - you don't even want to be asking me how much a new NG4 head unit is.

You do? Ok, £2,551.00

You can buy a heck of a lot of Tom-Toms or Garmins for that.

You can buy a pretty decent car to put the TomToms and Garmins in too!

For that you could probably but one installed in a car.
