I have a 2008 megane r26, it didn't have the switch to turn the passager airbag off but had a circle cut out with a plug with 2wires to it on side of drivers dash I went a bought a on / off switch but when fitted it just turns off airbag off you can't turn it back on :/ but when switch removed airbag turns on again
Any ideas why it won't work

Re: Airbag switch help
You connected it up without the switch/wires being tested professionally ??.....not me Sir, no way.
The ONLY safe advice is to have a qualified Auto Electrician check the device, the switch and do the power on test.
Airbags are exceptionally dangerous.

Re: Airbag switch help
You don't necessarily have the same ecu as a car with the airbag switch. Stickys advice is correct, the airbag system is very dangerous to work on if you don't know the procedures. Please don't try any more modifications to it, for your own safety.
If there was actually a hole with a missing switch rather than a blanking plate I'd be inclined to find a decent auto electrician pronto.
