Help!! Boot won't open after ECU change!! MOT due..;(

I'm hoping someone can offer me some help/advice...my 2005 1.9dci scenic has been with the auto-electrician for 5 months! It originally had an intermitent non-start issue, with the message 'low battery' being displayed. Months later & after lots of investigating & different parts, which made no difference, it was concluded that the ECU needed replacing. As I've already spent hundreds on the vehicle it was suggested I get a 2nd hand ECU/BSI/Key Card etc kit, which I did & it has solved the problem!! However, the boot now won't open! It is a keyless entry system...can anyone offer any advice on how I can rectify this. I would be so grateful!! MOT due in the next couple of weeks too.....
