Air con wiring- universal plug?

Dear Forum

Following last years problems with my aircon (i replaced my Harrison 1135253 with another 2nd hand which had the same problem)- so last week i bit the bullet and bought a new one.

However when about to put it on- the blessed thing has the wrong connector! It has just one wire and a universal connector, whereas the connector on the Xantia is of two wires and a double connector ??

Can anyone offer any thoughts before I return it to the shop?
