Imagine decking that out as a mobile bar to serve beers/spirits out of one
open side like an ice-cream van at outdoors venues or around London!

Ok, following the lead from the title of this thread, how about:

Yep, well known to us in the Visa circles - a desirable car for someone.

From the front it looks very nice actually! From the rear its less pretty, that badly linked boot and rear window look awful.

Quite a good hearse I imagine, a smooth ride and self leveling

That looks class, I like it. I'd love a CX hearse.

A couple of years ago, I bought a one owner CX Safari from an undertaker in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. It had been used as a "private ambulance" rather than an official hearse. But the adage: "back seat never been sat in" was probably true!

It had low miles but was not in the condition I had hoped for and it found its first 300 mile journey a bit daunting I feel. However, it didn't let me down and I had a lot of fun with it - the kids I taught thought it was cool but some of my colleagues were less impressed, in fact one (a good friend) told me I shouldn't use it on the day I was being interviewed for an Assistant Headship: I did and I got the job.

I eventually sold it to a guy who took it back to Jersey, a very long drive from Darlington.

As I mentioned before, I did see that around when you had it Rob. Im sure I passed you in it while I was driving the white XM to a CCC meeting at a Railway museum and a truck museum. Can't remember the name of the museum now

I also saw it at Citroenet and Brancepeth Castle too, it was quite recognisable.

C5 hearses could be had too, more like a private ambulance like that one was. I did spot one on the road once.
