If the Radio is the original one fitted in the car. The code should be available from a Citroen dealer (on supplying them with the VIN number) if you know one a phone call should sort it out as they can access this through their computer. If you are not known, you will probably have to supply proof of ownership.

Have tried Old-Guys radio code programme but i only get 9 digits and not 10 for the calculator
Serial number is BP 2775P1825587
Model number is 7 642 775 394
using the middle 3 digits + the last 7 from the serial gives me 7751825587 and generates a code of 2443
Colin, I'm not sure what your problem is: 3 + 7 = 10 and the software does produces a code of 2443 for your radio.

going from the serial number ignoring 1st/3rd and 7th i get 75p125587 which is 1 digit short
Colin
Ignoring the first 3 digits (BP2) and the 7th (P) gives a the same 10-digit (14 - 4) 'S/N' to enter.
Please could you try the code and let us know whether it works.
To avoid confusing any other Xantia owners, I've re-written the instructions specifically for these radios as fitted to S1 Xantias (and other Citroens of this vintage) but will hold off on uploading a new zip file containing them until Colin can confirm that using this code (generated using "Citroen Algo 1") does actually work for his radio.

IT DOES work, colin should be fine with that code... Ive used it before.. OF course it will only work IF the radio is all original and not been to a Radio Specialist for any other work etc etc...
As for going to the dealer, they still want a payment for radio codes!! Ive not known any giving a code away for free...

Phone rang as I was composing my previous post. Customer in the motor trade, "What's happened to the Radio Code software we had on our old computer - I can't find it on the new one anywhere?"
Forgot to install it all.
As it happens he wanted to use a different program, but still a coincidence.
Anyway, I've revamped the instructions to make them clearer and uploaded a new Zip file.

My apologies for my misunderstanding of the serial number route. i read it as ignore digits 1,3,and 7 not ignore the first 3 digits/letters and the 7th
I've got a '97 TCT VSX Estate with a flat battery. The owner gave me no code with it so when she goes back on the road in a few weeks will need a code generating. I guess this software will work for her so how do i download it?

Andy, you want to go onto 'Old Guys Xantia Pages'. There is a link to them beneath Old Guys signature that says 'WWW'.
