C3 Aircon not working

Well, it didn't take long did it?

Only had it for 2 weeks, and the aircon isn't working. It appears (from Lexia) to be cutting out after a few seconds operation due to a High Pressure safety alarm. Does anyone know what would cause this?

Sounds like too much gas inside or the radiator cooling fans aren't working?

That's a good place to start. I didn't think the rad fan was turning actually - thought there might be another one buried somewhere. I had a similar problem with my Leon some years ago, which was due to a blown fuse. Thanks Dom!

No worries, it seems to be quite a common issue with some PSA cars, 306's off another forum I use all tend to have problems with rad fans!

Got the same problem with my c3! The temp gauge shoots to max and an alarm sounds, my rad fan does not kick in ( there is just the one? ) and there is a hissing noise when the air con is turned on. Did you get yours working again?
