Im new to this forum and new to Reanult. I just bought a 1995 renault 19 with a 1.2 energy engine, the car belonged to and old man neighbor of mine, i knew the old man was wearing out the clutch a bit by his driving habbits (Around 4000 RPM driving up a small ramp and clutching LOL) Anyhow the doctors took away his driving licence due to bad eyesight so he put the car for sale. Looked like a great oportunity cause the car was like new and only 71,000 KM (he only drove on sundays :p) Yestrday everything was fine and suddenly out of nothing the clutch was gone... It looks as thought the clutch pad actually just deintegrated or blew up lol becuase the are many small pieces of clutch pad around the gear box... I am a DIY home mechanic and i do what i can on my cars and what i want to know is if anyone has a few tips or a small guide to reinstalling a new clutch, and also if i have to remove the whole engine from the car... I have a clutch plate alignment tools etc so i am familiar with the process, just never changed one on a Renault 19... Any help or guide will be much apreciated... Thanks to all.
