Renault Clio 1.4 Sport Maxim Power Steering problem

Hi All

Have a power steering problem on daughters car in that it has gone heavy not working?

Found by the power steering tank what looks like a sensor switch on a 't'off a pipe from the tank. The sensor has broken away.

What is it? Is it the problem and what is it called for purchase on Mon from renault and is it a straightforward old off new on?

Hi All

It's called a Power Steering Sensor and at £57.73 +VAT I think it can be called expensive!!!!

The Renault boys in the parts dept gloated "yep plenty on the shelf they always go!!!"
