Stupid Renault Master Problem

Hi

Feel free to laugh :( but I have a problem that is totally my own making.

I changed the oil and filter on the van today and reversed off the ramps but stupidly left an axle stand up. Anyway the bottom line is it has pierced the gearbox housing somehow and Ive no gearbox oil left.

What I'd like to know is can it be repaired or do I need a new housing.

Im off to drown my sorrows in a beer or two

hows the beer? yes that is a rather unfortunate accident but its easily done, as far as repair goes it depends where on the box the puncture wound is, if its somewhere critical then unfortunatly it could mean new box time but if its not you MAY be able to weld it, i dont want to rub salt into the wound but pictures would be helpfull.

Just a quick update, the local garage have managed to weld it back up, so all is fine now.

150 euros so lucky escape i think :D

I offered to fix my son inlaws xr 4 but he said i would prefer to let the garage do it , so they put up on the ramp fixed the exhaust and let it down right onto a 5ft stand they left in the way of the door they left open , they turned it into a gull wing ford ,priceless !
