Problem turning key in scenic. Gone stiff!

Hi all

Im having a problem with my 02 renault scenic.

I went to start it this morning, and all of a sudden it has become really hard to turn the key. I've stuck some WD40 in it, but it has made no difference. Is this going to be expensive?!!

If the key is at all reluctant to turn, you must take the strain off the steering column lock by 'wiggling' the steering wheel slightly so that the key turns easily. If you force the key, you will damage the key and/or steering lock, which would be expensive!

This applies to all cars with a steering column lock.
