climate control help please.

Hi, i have a renault clio 1.5dci 2004 and i am having a problem with the climate control temperature. The panel, fan speed and lights all work ,the heater is also blowing but no matter were i put the temp it blows cold all the time , the AC seems ok and the engine temp is fine . could any one please help as to what the problem could be . Thanks

Welcome to the forums Dennis. Pleased to see you managed to get in at last.
I Hope we can help with the problem.

I'm guessing here until someone with specific Renault knowledge shows up but

1) Is the heater matrix warming up? can you get at the feed and return pipes and check they are both hot?

2) Could be that the diverter motor that controls the flap that opens the airflow ports is defective. On many Citroens there is a tiny gearwheel that sheds teeth and fails to operate the diverter.

If you peer into the works you may be able to see the flap moving and hear the motor - or not if it is broken, of course.

Thanks for the reply, i am thinking that it is more of a sensor issue as it was working on and off yesterday for about a hour untill i turned it to air con then it would not get hot again. With some many sensors i just dont know were to start. I hope someone with some clio knowledge with help.
