Dephaser

Is the dephaser pulley off a Scenic 2 1.6 (part no 7701478505) the same as the 2.0 VVT ?

Ok then nobody knew the answer to that one. How about this...

Does a dephaser pully rattling at idle do any damage ?

Not much -
may only split then throw the aux belt which in turn graps the timing belt ...
