2001 Renault megane tick-over / ideling

Hi, had this problem since i put a new engine in my car, but when the engine's ticking-over / ideling, it doesn't stay constant and any other car i've been in does stay still. I was just wondering if anyone know's why its doing this?

I thought that it may be this sensor (not sure of it's name) but it's part of the air box, and ocassionally makes a "whirr" noise, i took it out and cleaned it up, put it back in but it still "whirrs" and the tickover is still not stable. I've just put a brand new air filter in too and that hasn't helped.

did you put the sensors from the old engine into the new engine or did you use any sensors that were left in the newer engine.Some cars need to "learn" so a good 30odd mile drive may do the trick,some motors need basic settings reset
