fault code reset

fault code reset

is it possible to reset the fault code on a 2005 1.6 grand scenic without the use of a code reader?

The only way I can imagine would be to leave the battery unplugged overnight, else its a half decent code reader.

I don't know if you'll have one, but my 2001 megane 1.6 16v has an engine re-set button in the engine bay, which basically does the battery-detached-overnight thing by pressing a button.

The "engine reset button" in the engine bay, is an innertia switch, which cuts out electrical power to the engine in the event of an accident.
