engine just stopped

I have a renault clio and coming home from Wales I was travelling around 65/70 mph on the motorway when engine just cut out. the engine management light came on, the "STOP" light came on (not much choice!!) and the other little engine light at the side of the display. I stopped, waited 5 mins, and restarted, and she was fine. I took to the garage but they checked out a few things and drew a blank. Its a 51 reg 1.2 clio. Anyone had anything similar who can help me out?
