Megane scenic not starting

I went to start my car earlier and it wouldnt turn over. The dash did light up though. I tried this several times and nothing. I left it several minutes and tried it again and it started first time! Its a petrol engine if that helps.
Any ideas?

Sounds like its linked to the starter motor. have you checked your fuses? you may have a blown fuse which is stopping your starter motor from engaging.
