Renault 19 diesel engine runs on after ignition off

Hi this is my first post and I am wondering if you can help with my student daughters Renault 19 1.9 diesel. The engine continues to run after switch off

and I am wondering if someone could help me on the matter

The fuel shut-off solenoid will have failed. There is one on eBay Click but you would probably be just as easy going to a local motor factor or scrapyard. It's dead easy to change, a bit like changing a spark plug.
