Citroen Car Club Rally 2008

Unread post by XantiaMan »

First ever Citroen show, and Jack's first car show too! Was lucky enough to have some lovely strong sunshine so the missus is happy, as she got a tan! Good to see DickieG again and finally meet the man like CitroJim, Jim!

Loads of BX's, XM's and the older stuff , think we only had 6 cars in total in the Xantia parking area but that could change in the future.

Richard's 33k miler VSX is a gem and generated alot of interest throughout the day.

Jim bought his W reg Activa which was also my first experience of driving one, hope Jim has recovered from my brief jaunt round the country lanes  A true cruiser and the lack of roll just enhances the Xantia experience of a smooth ride.

I took some pictures some of which turned out ok, it was well worth the visit and i will be attending more shows in the future.

I must say a fine day was had by all, Jim and I picked up a few bargains, at least Jim could fit all of the ones he bought in his car

Jack looked very well, I'd imagine he's growing by the minute from the size of him :D

Gareth, did you buy a raffle ticket? Jim and I worked out that if you did then your number was called out, you could have won a 'Xantia' inscribed tie

Nope didnt buy a ticket which is just aswell, as i still cannot do a tie up at 27!

Jack is doing great, he managed very well with the heat and the miles today, he is a chunky little thing but thats how babies are meant to be :D

I did wonder how you would get on with the bumpers, too good a bargain to miss and if you want them painting let me know!

Sounds good chaps, will make every effort to show up at the next one.

The XAN71A is the spit image of my Xant, with the minor exception of the ruddy great hole in the offside doors that a passing milkman thoughtfully arranged for me. Barsteward still hasn't forked out for it yet either.

Still miss that car.
