clio power steering pump

Unread post by civvie »

My daughter is having a bit of trouble with her Clio Authentique (2004 on a 53 plate)
Can anyone tell me where the pump is under the bonnet.
Any help appreciated

Surely my daughter can't be the only Clio owner in the UK?

According to my haynes manual, it's to the left of the dipstick at the front of the engine.

Hope this helps.

Don't these models have the electric setup, where the assistance is provided by an electric servo which is actually on the column itself....

Well I have found out that she does not have power steering on her car, but there is some cable coming out of the steering box, any ideas what its for?

Cheers

after a lot of digging around (took the steering wheel shroud off) found the electric power steering pump underneath, cleaned up a few connectors jiggled a few wires into the connections and yipee its now working.
