Ok, here is the story.
Renault Laguna RXE 'Aeroflow'
The car ran out of petrol, as the fuel gague doesn't work. Managed to get it started again after filling up, but in the process of attempting to get the car started I flattened the battery.
The next day, my g/f went to unlock the car only to find that all the doors unlock except the drivers side. Tried to open the door with the key rather than with the 'plip' but to no avail. The door stayed locked.
Tried to open the door from inside the car. Nope, locked fast. the latch does not move, and the handle on the inside of the door is immovable.
The electric windows are all working fine.
Called Renault, and they said it is indicative of another problem but wouldn't say what that could be. Just wanted to charge me 85 quid for a diagnostic!!
So, here is what is wrong with the car so you can see if anything else is affecting this unlocking problem...
1.Fuel gague does not work (assuming a fuel pump/sender problem. New pump being delivered tomorrow.)
2.NS Outer CV Boot has got a nick in it.
3. Rattle from underneath the car. Sounds as if the exhaust is touching a heat deflector or something.
4. Drop links need replacing, as there is a persistant knocking/banging from the front on rough roads (have already replaced lower ball joints and track rod ends)
5. Tracking needs adjusting.
Any ideas on the central locking problem????????????

I have the same problem as you (No 4) changed the drop links but no change , could be either wishbone bushes or anti roll bar bushes ? I think this is a fairly common problem on lagunas .
