Hello.
I bought a Renault Trafic -92 a couple of
weeks ago. and it consums alot of petrol about
2.5 L / 10 kilometers.
What could be the problem?

Hi peter
you should have brought a diesel traffic much cheaper to run. is this fuel injected becouse you could have partly blocked injectors you could try fuel injector cleaner that would be the first thing id try along with checking out the air filter and plugs and changing the oil all this helps also check for leaks in the fuel supply system.
hope this helps

Yes maby i should have bought a diesel, but those are much more expensive in sweden.
But if the injectors are partly blocked, shouldn´t it run on less fuel then?
The car runs great, but it look like an old diesel mercedes when you hit the throttle.
and it takes about 2,5 Liters per 1 swedish mile.¨
So i think that ít is somethink that tells the engine that´s it´s always cold. so that it injects more fuel. could my ide be right?

Hi nordsten
If the injectors are blocked the petrol spray pattern is wrong in the cylinders resulting in a rich mixture also it could be a sensor gone like you said although it sounds more like your van is what we call (pinking) this points to ignition timing. i suggest the best thing for you to do is take your van to a engine tuner in your area who will run a diagnostic check on your engine to pin point the problem becouse the the faults you discribe could be one of many things. to many to list here
