Radio code for laguna

hello
could someone please advise on this.
I have just purchased a renault laguna 16 sport (year 2000) 1800cc.
i noticed in the details i got with the car it did not include the radio code, and the gent i bought the car from, does not know it either.
Is there anyway i can find this out ?
The radio/cd is working fine at the moment, but im thinking ahead if at any stage the battery needs to be disconnected
any help appreciated

There is software that can work out many radio codes, depending on the make. Philips units need to be hooked up to a machine to get the code. The dealer who sold the car new might have a record of the code.
I detest radio codes, they are just a way of screwing money out of second and subsequent owners. They barely inconvenience scrotes at all.

If you contact a Renault dealer and prove to them that the car is yours, i.e. take the Log Book, they should be able to tell you the code.

If thats the case, i will go along to my local Renault dealer, when i get the log book thru from the Dvla with my new details on it
