Who says electric cars won't be interesting to race or can't be track raced ?

Of no interest to me... In my world the only racing worth bothering with is that powered by a pair of human legs and/or arms...

Racing with the aid of mechanical power sources is somehow not a sport or in the spirit of a sport... Very much frowned upon in professional cycling

After all, you have an artificial power source doing all the hard work for you...

Now if it was human-powered cars racing I'd be all over it like a rash...

Same as motor racing... Humans using an artificial power source to supposedly race

Plus I have absolutely no affinity with horses, in fact any four-legged creatures, at all. I'm a 100% people person. The only animals I have any affinity for are those that have power of flight, have two legs and lay eggs for humans to eat. I also like those animals that swim in the sea - to eat occasionally...

Cows and goats are good as they produce milk that can be turned into lovely cheese Sheep are good for their wool and lanolin.

I'm also pretty much a full-time vegetarian...

You are certainly very fit Jim and if I couldn't buy prepared meat meat I would be a veterinarian too. I'm sure I could manage with eggs and cheese if I had to. I could probably catch fish if I was starving.

If I tried to cycle now I would fall apart.

Did get pretty well demolished in the ensuing exchange though. Such exotica will have a market to sell into, especially for those who enjoy getting a getting a speeding fine every time its driven to its 0-60, or top speed capability. Round town a Renault Zoe gets from A to B just as quick!

I have to laugh at the old horse racing. Without betting, it would not exist. What kind of sport is that? Regarding Vegan. Well done to anyone who can do it. I eat less meat as I get older. Worth thinking about.

Had a trip to Dunbar on Tuesday this week, and was left in charge of the catering...chip shop beckoned. Had my first Scottish chip shop steak pie and chips. Probably an acquired taste, but I dont think deep-frying is the best method of serving up a hot steak pie!!! Just a touch greasy!

Having pretty much zero knowledge, and never having been there I would imagine Norway's pollution from petrol and diesel vehicles would not be amongst the worst in the world, and there would be plenty of fresh clean air about to go round, as long as they kept their log burners under control.

Their Government has taken some of the toughest policy steps to lead the country to being a leader in the take up of electric vehicles.

As a Scot, I have never ate anything like that in my life. That food is for the hard of thinking. As bad as Chinese carry out food. If anyone thinks the Chinese eat that garbage...........

The Government has announced today a £23 million boost for Hydrogen-powered vehicles and infrastructure. Good news for Llandrindod Wells in particular, as Riversimple would appear well placed to put together a successful bid for a slice. Now the analysis and drift of the discussions on this thread (with the exception of the deep-fried pie diversion my apologies for that!) may conclude that they are backing the wrong horse.
