I'd bet the green would be easier to keep clean and looking good. I've gone
off black after spending a few summers trying to keep on top of my safari,
a Prestige and a GTi T2.

The green was rendered out dark to match the Xant colour which looks very
dark in it's shadows on the Xant anyway - the highlighted upwards faces look
good on them though and actually quite sophisticated suiting something like a
Cx Turbo2. There's a deep purple cherry on a CX which does look fab too - I'll
try and post up some pics - there was a showroom condition T2 on Italy eBay
for a chunky price but it looked gorgeous. :D

I'll try and get some pics of Neil's original car colourscheme - for me it was
more subtle but just as stunning as the darker is-it-green-or-purple-or black
etc of his car now. Running different simpler rims back then too.

Nigel's Church is very Deja-Vu for me too!

There's also a kind of violet mauve metallic which can look very
different/sophisticated - I've saved a s2 TRD Prestige in this colour.

You might say it's a Highway Star

Certainly not Made in Japan but is it driven by a Black Magic Woman ?

They were the Azevs...basically the same as mine on the Maikonics CX, just that his were 17s and mine are 16s.

I found the receipt for my wheels the other day...they were machined from blanks and cost over £800!

Dad's got some TSW alloys that are similar in design to the Azevs that fit a CX too.

Lovely looking car - I am so tempted (but would prefer a Prestige).

Andrew,
Just came across another EBL car...B145 EBL, from Performance Car Magazine:

http://users.tkk.fi/~minoru/renault/art ... arison-85/

Do you know roughly how many EBL cars there were? I gather that the EBL cars were used as Citroen Press Cars.

Yeah I kind of like it, now decided CX T2 will be Green just the shade to decide on - as I'm quite taken by that 1979 Lighter Met Green Pallas, that I reckon is 'Verte Papyrus'

:) Never been blue, she was pearl silver from new

Image

Then in 1994 she became silver with a red green pearl 'the paint suppliers said it wouldn't work :)' here at the Doune rally Scotland with the AZEV's also machined from Blanks £1300... good job there are a lot more cheaper choices now
