I'd check the damping elements are working in the spheres... You either have the wrong spec.ones or you've fitted accumulators...

I once had a set of rear spheres with duff damping elements - the blueish washers were loose - and it was like riding in a boat...

Accumulators (with no damping elements at all) will produce the [problem you have...

As a first job, check they are right for the car and correct for the rear...

If your HDi is an Exclusive with Hydractive suspension then those spheres will be wrong. Damping rates are vasty different and it is likely to be very soft with them; Activa spheres would be better...

Finally got the exclusive on the road. Found some more spheres to put on it and it now runs better still a little hard on the back end.
Soon work will begin on the Activae. It may take a couple years to do them both but it will be worth it.

Never unloved just unfinished. They are moved about regularly and cleaned inside and outside.
Going to be a long road ahead though.

Hi sorry not been able to get on here for a while have been so busy with work and family distraction. And family ill health.
Well i have started to make one good Activa out of the two i have. When i have finished the blue Activa will more than likely be up for sale as I will need the funds from that one to fund the restoration work on the silver one for my son who is showing more interest in it. Will be very sorry to see her go but needs must. I will keep you all informed of the progress. And will give you a shout out if i need any parts.

Yes it is the s2 in Mauritius blue.
Good to be back Jim. Just sorry to be having to think along the lines of getting rid of one of the Activae. Sometimes things happen which we have no control over.

Due to change in circumstances my silver Activa is in need of a new home.
Was running fine but after been parked up for a while it now has acquired a fault. Not sure what the fault is but engine management light is now on. Could be a simple fix as i have borrowed a couple of fuses of it and now can't remember which ones. It turns over but just won't fire up.
It does need a lot of TLC as it requires new sills and has a hole in the wing.
I am trying to solve the fault but with little success. If there is no interest I will salvage the bits I need as spares for my other Activa and then weigh it in. But am really looking for someone to save her.

I will try to get photos on if i can remember how.

Can I please suggest you put the ad into the For Sale / Wanted section if you are going to sell it, as although this is the Activa Area, it won't necessarily get the appropriate audience if people are not subscribed to this sub-forum.
