Yes everything was removed out of the way before we moved engine out. There was nothing left in there. As we did not want to damage anything. It seemed to leak from the middle where the pipe goes in through the 16mm nut, like it wasn't sealed properly.

That really does sound to me like a hairline crack in the pipe or else a crack in the union nut...

I've known them take a bit of shifting. Was it really tight? The very act of undoing the union could have caused the crack if it really took a bit of brute force to undo it...

If the problem is with the block itself I'm sure I have a spare kicking around...

I'll let you know Jim. I'm tempted to get the block and pipe off the silver Activa for now. Then replace them at a later date. So if you do have a spare it would be most appreciated Jim. Going to hopefully get it done this weekend fingers crossed. Don't really like taking things off the silver Activa unless i can quickly replace them, otherwise it will get forgotten about. And i don't want to do that. Thanks very much for your help and advice King James.

Right then have made a possible break through with this leaking issue. Have spoken to a citroen specialist up the road, and yes Jim you are right there is no seal on the pipe as such. However he is 97% sure that there is a seal that seats inside the female part of the union. And this could of either fallen out or possibly perished. So will have a look up inside when i get a moment. He believes this would more than likely be the cause as the fluid poured out rather than just weeping, which he would expect from a hairline crack. So fingers, toes and everything else crossed.

Okay i know this is nothing to do with Activas but have just got my hdi exclusive through its not by the skin of its teeth.
My problem now is I was rushed to change the rear spheres and in doing so may not of followed procedure correctly. The spheres were new but old .changed them and now the back end is now very light,I can easily push it up and down with ease. When I drive it,it is like a speed boat bopping along in the water.I heard somewhere about opening a nut on the rear anti sink unit a full turn.this I did not do as I was rushing to do it.
So roughly me in the pit car depressurized sphere removed new ones on that have been lying on a shelf for about six years.
Comments and critism welcome( I realise I have been a naughty boy by rushing such a job).

The rear end is meant to be that soft, but it can be overly soft if you've used non hydractive spheres in a non hydractive system...

This is really soft like a bouncing ball down the road. Even my 5 year old daughter can bounce it about onto it's wheels.
