A really nice example Alasdair. She'll definitely continue getting the TLC treatment at her new digs.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Buried deep inside the CX's speedo is this (one of two gears that turn the mileage barrels).

The teeth were worn on this part so I am rebuilding them with super glue built up in layers.

I will file them later to match the original profile.

What a fantastic looking car!

I can't say I've ever seen one on the road but I'm sure it'd get a double take from me.

Cheers chap, I think I have a nice mix of the range.

As many here know when it rains I start getting bored and do things.

I drilled the rear trim, added a red filter sheet and fitted two led strips behind this running the wire under the rear screen pieces and into the boot via a drilled and grommeted hole.
The holes are filled with little rods of clear plastic glued in to them to form a seal and a "lens".
As the light "holes" are slightly recessed there is no light seen in the rear view mirror when they are on.

Cheers chaps

I hate Waxoil applied onto dirt and existing crustiness, and why oh why use the fracking black stiuff !

All sort of nasty edges just covered over. Nothing found of any particular worry.......yet 🙂

WaxOil DOES NOT WORK and makes problems worse, be warned.
