How did an Austin Cambridge fare on it?
I've done that hill many times, with a HGV artic with a 45ft Trailer quite interesting as you can imagine if you know the road, happy days.

Not surprised that its been tried..... but wildly impressed !

Its a bit of a problem now as it is on a Sat-Nav rat run....there again it was part of the "back way home" from the locals in the area so many runs were up it and were even more memorable !...more than I care to retain to tell the truth (never did kill anyone/myself or get caught by the fuzz thank god)

I've been out in my Activa V6 to take it for MOT today. First time I'd driven it since September. You'll not regret putting all this work into it :) It's a far superior car to the TCT powered Activa.

I hope so....I have permission to go to Donnington Park (full track) at any time I like for shakedowns so this WILL happen, not missing out on that opportunity....so I have to get it on the road don't I :

YES Sir....I will............hoooHA !

?? chaps, what would be the best way forward ??..................Strip the parts off it in whilst attached and the car on stands or Take Off the rear sub-frame in total >? and would it be good to save a V6 rear sub-frame itself ?

(sorry to keep asking but I have yet to get my head around the interchangeability of parts yet :) )

The V6 rear subframe is the same as any HA2 (except Activa) subrame.

BTW, did you realise that many of the hydraulic fittings changed at about RP8000, so some of the parts from your Mk2 wont directly fit your Mk1s.

This "came in the boot " of the ActivaV6 for free.....obvious its the 1st pipe.....but who makes it and that box is small. De-cat pipe or just a silly restrictive cheap box/tube ?
Image

Did a googley and cannot find it.

PS....and I got those rusted nuts off and dropped the exhaust.....forgot I had an Extension hand-piece for the Dremmel: got down behind the engine and used the pencil hand-piece and a small cutting disc (5) and cut them off :).....errr, the exhaust is heavy :)

It's just an aftermarket catalyst Sticky.

The cat I removed from the Mallard Green V6 I stripped was the same, I binned it and sourced an OE cat and that's what the Activa is wearing now.
