The Vice is great, with the Anvil end and the ability to rotate I am sure it will come in very handy....but where to bolt it to ?

I bet that split is the main cause of the LHM volume loss on this car then. That split in the hydraulic return pipe is very common too... It can let go suddenly and dump all LHM and strand you..
