I have a small collection of old cans. Next time Bluebell is out of the garage I'll get a photo of them...

Those seats are quite a clever design as they're equally as comfortable on a hot summer's day as they are on a cold winter's morn

I have torn out all the scabby thorny bushes and ivy from this bit of ground outside my house and planted lots of flowers there.
But there have been a couple of (-expletive removed-) landscapers have driven their vans over it and squished the flowers.
So I dragged the block of concrete that was once the base for next door's clothes pole around to the kerb, painted it white, piled a load of bricks and rocks in front of it, shoved a white pole in it (was the rod for a roller blind) and bunged a Ukraine flag in it.
Before I painted it a neighbour did run into it and ruin a tyre. Should be easy enough to see now though.
The 'road' runs through my house.

A gallery of superb paintings, I have mentioned before, by Alan Spillett

He has added this poignant piece to his gallery on the section described as "Last Pictures"
The Older I get the Better I was! - well, I can't see properly, hand shakes, am chuntering on about nothing all day, forgetting where I am. Not ideal for an Experienced Rambling Lorry Painter! Have been painting for a living for nearly 40 years, so it was with a Heavy heart I, or we, more like, decided to pack up in May 2022. These are the very last commissions painted since 2020. One or two non commissions still to do, like "East of England" - Watts Bros Thornycroft 8, and "Y Cymro" - O.J.Jones' Renault 8, and some already underway like Roundabouts & Swings. So will be adding to the list. Climb aboard, here we go -
Gorgeous artwork the liveries and the scenic locations are terrific. Every chance that like me you will enjoy a browse of Alan's work.

I'm sat here wondering where the promised thunder storms are. Bloody government can't be relied on for anything. Most likely going to have to water the gardens again.

We've had an hour or two of what's known as Boss' Rain here. Heavy enough to get you wet, but not heavy enough to stop work.

We've had about two minutes of sprinkling a couple of hours ago leaving the footpath speckled! That dried out in a few minutes and then we had another slightly heavier sprinkle which has dried out too! Still hot and clammy now! :?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I had my first rose out a couple of days ago, forgot to post the photo :(
DSCF3802.JPG
Too lazy to shift the occluding leaf. :)
Supposed to be a Blue Moon but clearly isn't. The Blue Moon opened this morning. No photo though.
DSCF3855.JPG
Some purple poppies opened yesterday too. "Hungarian Breadfruit". Not sure where I got them from but have just bought annother 10,000
Also this rather weedy but extremely red one. The photo doesn't reveal the intensity of the colour, should have used the DSLR.
There are others but spread all over.

Loads out today. Also it is chucking it down, pleased I held off with the watering

The ground is baked hard in many places so when it does rain it will all run off. - still plenty in our well though - at the moment.
