clio boot central locking

Hi can anyone help me got a problem with boot central locking on 92 clio doors lock but boot wont do anything tested solonoid with live from battery ok tried another reley still nothing the two wires to the solonoid the mauve one shows power when car unlocked but nothing on locked the other wire shows nothing at all is this wire the earth? or is it the wire that locks any help would be great thanks

I don't know if this is the same thing, but on my Laguna estate the boot will unlock but not lock. I looked at the wires where they go into the back of the car from the rear door (inside a rubber 'tube' at the top of the boot) and found the wire had broken. It's not surprising, as all the wires bend through 45 degrees, are move each time the boot opens. Could this be the same on yours?
