Rear window/side mirror demisters - Laguna RT 1995

Both do not work. Have checked fuses and all OK. Switch in dashboard lights up when pressed and I can hear heated rear window relay switch engaging. This did coincide with heater blower motor breaking. Any ideas?

Just to let you all know that I replaced the battery recently and all of a sudden the demisters work.[:0][:D]
