Good day everyone i have a Peugeot 508 1.6vti ep6c engine which is after my sanity i recently have this multiple codes, the car does not move at all when I start the car it doesn't rev pass 2000-300rpm and it doesn’t move at all despite flooring the accelerator
These are the codes it is showing
1.P101C Variable Valve Lift Relay Control
Permanent
2.P0A1A Signal From The Piloted Alternator (BSS Line)
Permanent
3.P15A0 Lubrication System
Intermittent
4.P0017 Synchronisation
Permanent
5.P250D Engine Oil Level Sensor Signal
Permanent
6.P1015 Variable Valve Lift System
Permanent
7.P15A3 Oil Pressure Regulation Solenoid Valve Control
Permanent
So far the parts I have changed 1,
oil pressure Switch
2 oil pump solenoid valve i changed this part about two weeks ago and the code is back *smh*
3, I have changed the valvtronic motor today it was a used one it’s hard to get new parts here but I tested it and it worked fine. After fitting the motor I was expecting the codes for the VVL to clear but they still keep coming back and after I install the new motor and reset the timming of the engine it drove fine for about 15min then the check light came back on with the same exact codes I tried checking the p101C code but it has to do with a relay which I have no idea where it is on the car I’m so frustrated idk if I can get help in solving this issue. Maybe a wiring diagram or anything to help me tackle this issue.
Ps i work with a mechanic cause I don’t have all the necessary tools for setting the timing and it’s costing me a lot *cry*
This my VIN VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Re: Valvtronic motor issue
What year is the car?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Valvtronic motor issue
As there seem to be several independent components affected, I would suspect that there is a problem with the ECU or the 5V reference supply to the sensors.
Have you measured the voltage on the sensor terminals?
Which engine variant is it?

Re: Valvtronic motor issue
Probably nothing to do with the timing chain but they do wear on the vti engines. Our 1.4 vti C3 needed it replacing on about 50k miles. How many miles has your car done and has the chain been replaced at all ?
If I read the first post correctly you are saying you rev the engine and the car is not moving at all, this could be a worn out clutch.

I have not tested any voltage on any sensors yet.xantia_v6 wrote: Yesterday, 14:23 As there seem to be several independent components affected, I would suspect that there is a problem with the ECU or the 5V reference supply to the sensors.

What sensor should I test and how do I go about it.
So today we tried checking the timing which was a pain...after we re set the timing and set the valvtronic motor to it's position.
We drove the car fine for about 20mn again and it reverted to loss of power then we checked the valvtronic motor and it has unwinded it self out of position I used a 4 Allen key turned it anticlockwise till I hit the end then started the car and it drove fine so what causes the motor to not stay in place after fitting it now I have an Allen key in the car smh
Thank you so much for the help

The timing chain is not slack I recently did the timing guides and tensioners some months ago there is about 94,000 miles on itPaulC5 wrote: Yesterday, 22:31 Probably nothing to do with the timing chain but they do wear on the vti engines. When I rev it it does not go above 1500-2500rpm....it makes this sluggish movement on a flat road but it can't even move on a small incline road...........it's like the throttle body is open but the valvtronic motor shuts the intake valves and it consuming a lot of fuel about
