Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hello everyone.
I managed to update my 3008 to version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 according to Rui's instructions. I simply downloaded the firmware from his website and generated the license file. Then I used Rufus to format the flash drive and burned the SWL and license. That worked, and now I have the latest versions. Now I just need to update the maps to version 17.
Regards.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I'm still having the problem.
I'm currently running version 42.03.31.32_NAC-r0.
The app shows me an update to 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0.
I always get the error "version incompatible with hardware."
I'm using Wi-Fi and have a Connected Navigation Pack subscription. Nothing. I think I just need to give up on this.

the connected navigation pack has nothing to do, you should cancel and get a refund for now

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
@matiigro: The firmware version 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0 is too old and already has expired signing certificates. For the NAC Wave 4 (NAC_EUR_WAVE4) system, the only valid firmware version is the 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0, currently not offered by the Citroën/DS/Opel/Peugeot/Vauxhall Update software. You have to prepare the USB flash drive manually - https://sites.google.com/view/nac-rcc/system/nac/wave-4

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
@scar1987: You currently have a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system (4x.xx.xx.xx_NAC-rx firmware), but the information stored in the Stellantis servers is not updated. If you verify with your VIN in my site, you'll find out that your system is still identified as a NAC_EUR_WAVE3 (3x.xx.xx.xx_NAC-rx, your previous firmware version). Because of this, no valid NAC_EUR_WAVE4 licenses could be generated and you're unable to install any other firmware version.
But you can manually install the 17.0.0-r0 European map for that system: https://sites.google.com/view/nac-rcc/system/nac/wave-4

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
HI,
I have a DS7 crossback 2018, 1.6 puretech. System version is 31.09.46.62_NAC-r0, and maps are the first version from 2018.
I try to do update from ds update program but when i start it just says map update failed.
When i look on files on usb i dont see license file.
@GiveMeABreak is there a chance that you prepare files for me to do manual update of firmware and maps.
VIN is VR1**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
thank you

Marc (GiveMeABreak) is no longer active on the forum but we are very lucky to have member Rui Saraiva here with his great knowledge of the NAC/RCC system. Hopefully he can help you.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Thank you for the clarification @rui_saraiva. How do I get the Stellantis servers to recognize the firmware update I made? I've already tried installing the maps manually; it recognizes the update, I select the countries, but when I proceed, a message appears saying there was an error during installation.rui_saraiva wrote: 21 Apr 2026, 09:38 @scar1987: You currently have a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system (4x.xx.xx.xx_NAC-rx firmware), but the information stored in the Stellantis servers is not updated. Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
@urosmit14: You originally have a NAC_EUR_WAVE3 infotainment system that is officially deprecated (no updates since 2021). In 2022, some of those systems were automatically converted to NAC_EUR_WAVE4, even if the installed firmware version was 3x.xx.xx.xx_NAC-r0. So, today, your system might still be identified as a NAC_EUR_WAVE3 or a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 - you can input your VIN on my page to check it.
[*] If it is a NAC_EUR_WAVE3:
You must install the 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 (UodateID 001315031622734386) firmware version (last in the table), that converts your system to a NAC_EUR_WAVE4. And you're probably stuck to this firmware version forever, or until Stellantis correctly identifies your system as a Wave 4...
[*] If it is a NAC_EUR_WAVE4:
You must install the 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 (UpdateID 001315031692686757) firmware version (also, the last in the table).
To install any of those versions, you need the respective license. See this post to find your uin - unique identification number. The UpdateID/MediaVersion must match the correct firmware version (in the example, the MediaVersion is for the NAC_EUR_WAVE4 case). After the firmware installation, any installed maps are deleted, but you can install the European map 17.0.0-r0 (for NAC_EUR_WAVE4). There isn't any license for map updates.
Right now it's impossible to use the official "Citroen/DS/Opel/Peugeot Update" software, you must prepare the USB flash drive manually...
@scar1987: You can try to connect your car to a WiFi network, but I'm yet to see that working without a valid TomTom subscription...
Did you use a macOS to prepare the USB flash drive with the map update? If so you need to run:
To delete any files, in that specific folder of the USB flash drive, that doesn't have a .ttpkg extension (such as ".DS_store") - the map update fails if any other files are present in that folder. You can remove the "-delete" argument to only see what are those files, without deleting anything. No need to download the update again in this case.
If no macOS was used, it's probably the flash drive itself. Use another one.

But before i want be sure that version is compatible with 7" screen ?

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi everyone,
new member here.
I’ve been reading the forum for a while and I would like to thank you all for the great work..
I would like to verify the procedure I’m about to follow for my Citroën C4 Cactus 2018 [VIN] VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] [\VIN] .
My system is currently running a 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 version, and I want to update it to version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0.
Based on what I’ve gathered from the forum, here is my plan:
USB Preparation: A USB stick formatted to FAT32.
License: I have created a license folder in the root of the drive. Inside, I’ve placed the .key file obtained through the official PSA link using my UIN (retrieved via the USB configuration export):
License Link: https://majestic-web.mpsa.com/mjf00-web ... Y_UIN_HERE
Firmware: I am downloading the official .tar file:
Firmware Link: https://majestic-web.mpsa.com/nas/eu/mj ... _WAVE4.tar
USB Structure:
license folder (containing the .key file)
SWL folder (extracted from the .tar file)
Updateinfo.xml file (in the root of the USB stick from.tar)
Is the file structure mentioned above correct?
insert usb and ...
Thank you.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
"I have successfully installed firmware 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0; the process took about 25 minutes.
Once the system rebooted, I noticed that the Version 17 maps I had previously installed were still present and working correctly.
MyCitroën app on Android has started working again, now 'connected to vehicle' appears and syncing data works.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I've got an issue with our 508 from 2019. It's currently running version 42.03.33.42, probably because it was upgraded from a Wave 3 system. The Peugeot dealership changed the whole NAC unit under warranty last year because Wave 3 units couldn't be updated at the time.
The Peugeot app now claims there's an update, but it says I need to update to version 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0. That version is ancient as well, so predictably it doesn't install, claiming "Version not compatible with hardware" as per usual. Sadly though, this means I can't generate a licence file either for version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0, because Peugeot won't give me that update.
I tried downloading version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 from Rui's website, hoping it would install anyway, but it still says it's incompatible (though it does take nearly a minute before it says so, while it says that almost immediately when trying to install version 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0). I did make sure the car was connected to wi-fi, but it didn't help. Is there any other way of installing version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0? Perhaps it's possible to generate a licence file in a different way? My VIN is VR3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
EDIT: According to Rui's website the car had a NAC_EUR_WAVE4_B0 from the factory. That can't be right, as it had satnav both on the old and the new unit. Besides the antiquated maps on the Wave 3 unit, the satnav's always been working perfectly on both units. Did the dealership mess up when installing the new unit?

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi everyone,
I’m struggling with an issue on my Peugeot 508 II (Year 2022) regarding Apple CarPlay. Despite having a modern unit and the latest firmware, I cannot get CarPlay to work.
The Problem:
The Apple CarPlay icon is visible in the menu but stays permanently greyed out, even when a compatible iPhone is connected via an original Apple cable.
The iPhone charges when plugged in, but the NAC system doesn't trigger the CarPlay handshake (no permission pop-up on the phone).
My Setup / Steps already taken:
• Firmware Version: 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 (Wave 4) - latest version installed.
• Hardware: Tested with multiple iPhones (Siri is ON, no restrictions) and several original Apple Lightning/USB-C cables.
• Battery: The car has a Varta EFB 70Ah battery. I recently fully charged it (external charger) and performed a BSI Reset (battery disconnect procedure), but the issue persists.
• System Reboot: Tried the 15-second "Phone" button hold for a NAC reboot—no change.
Question:
Does this look like a missing Telecoding (Configuration) issue? It feels like the "CarPlay" license is present but not correctly "activated" or provisioned in the NAC's internal config file.
Has anyone experienced with a greyed-out CarPlay icon?
Any help or technical insight would be greatly appreciated!
