touch screen and map Updates for C5 2021 Aircross

Hi

I've tried three times to download the touch screen and map update files (one is 5,88 Gb and the other is 17 Gb) using the Citroen Update app on a laptop

Despite completing the downloads (the 5.88Gb takes over 40 mins despite me being on a fast fiber internet) , at the next step it says the download failed and so forces you to try again.

VIN is VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Also, the wifi on the car does not seem to work well even if I park the car next to the house (and signal on my iphone is 4-5 bars) - is there a trick to get it to connect reliably.

ps - it was in for a service at a Citroen dealer a few weeks ago but I suspect they don't update the software as the maps says they are still July 2023.

It finally worked so used My Citroen to update

when from version 42.03.31.32 to 44.07.33.32

Actually, the map updates did not work

After having to run the car for around 15 mins (yes, need to start the engine rather than just have the ignition on), the map updates told me that the only maps I have downloaded (17 Gb) despite putting in the VIN, were the EU map update (the car is in Australia/ Oceania, not Austria)

So the question is what is the point of using My Citroen if it does not provide map updates for Australia ?

Are the Australian map updates available elsewhere ?

I found a site that seems to have screen and map updates .

That said, it appears that there are no update from PSA for any countries / regions outside of Europe since July 2024 (being version 13)

I am also having problem with updating to the latest version of the touch screen and map updates. The previous owner of the car didn't do any updates so everything is on the stock version from 2018. I Downloaded the latest version EU maps 17.0 and touch update 44.07.33.32_NAC, but when I tried to install them in my car, it says maps failed to update or when I try to install the firmware it says hardware not compatible.
What should I do to get thru the update process?
