All working as normal here now.
I did do a major clean out of all the crap that gets saved. Do it daily but not the 'root' option that I did last night.

I have regenerated the site certificates again and it seems to be happier...
I have also disabled the automatic redirection from the www. subdomain to the main domain. I think that that redirection was enabled due to an interaction with a software package we no longer run.
I have also attempted to disable the obsolete TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols, but that does not seem to have worked.
