hello friends, 2007 citroen c5, how can i read BSI 95128 eeprom with carprog, i try the connection diagram shown in chinese clone carprog but it doesn't work, please help me

I didn't try it with SOIC. The resin is very hard and doesn't dissolve even with hot air. I didn't want to take any risks.wheeler wrote: 18 May 2025, 10:09 Have you tried with a SOIC clip?
If its not reading with that you may need to de solder the chip & read out of circuit.
I changed the instrument panel, when I bought a different instrument panel that had been used before and installed it, the mileage information changed and increased.wheeler wrote: 19 May 2025, 12:39 Is it resin or lacquer? Would be unusual to see resin on a component used inside the car.
If Lacquer just carefully run the tip of your soldering iron down each leg of the chip then clean with a fibreglass pen.
Should read ok in circuit with SOIC clip.
Why do you need to read the EEPROM out of curiosity?
I think when the instrument panel is changed, it defaults to whichever is the highest recorded mileage between the installed instrument panel and the cars ECU.sydo wrote: 24 May 2025, 04:01 I changed the instrument panel, when I bought a different instrument panel that had been used before and installed it, the mileage information changed and increased.
OK are you aware you will also need to reset the miles in th EEPROM of the instrument panel too? if you alter the BSI miles and do also alter the instrument panel as soon as you plug the BSI back in it will just write the same mileage back in.sydo wrote: 24 May 2025, 04:01 I changed the instrument panel, when I bought a different instrument panel that had been used before and installed it, the mileage information changed and increased.
This is only for reference of when faults were cleared, you can input any mileage you want here & it wont make any difference to the displayed miles, yes some models only have a maximum amount of slots for this, when you reach the max it just kicks out the oldest one, if there is only 50 slots available it will only remember the last 50 events.Kees wrote: 24 May 2025, 11:38 I also wonder where the information from the diagbox is stored.
Because for cleaning some errors, you have to put in the mileage, and there are only a number of positions for it.

The milage can be changed on this car via OBD in a few minutes, thie likes of OBDstar & SVCI can do it for example.
